Back in town, people were standing around a group of houses that had been damaged by the Abomasnow. The rest of the gang were standing around, making movements like they were trying to decide what to do next.

"Oi, Wally," Destiny called.
Destiny was walking toward us with an arm wrapped around her like she was wounded.
"Are ya alright," I asked, walking down to her.
"I got hurt," she said.
"But did it work?"
"Did what work?"
"The thing with makin' the Abomasnow realizin' ya one of it's friends!"
"If I don't die."
"Well, I'll let my buddy, Jhon take care of ya. He's a bleedin' doctor!"
"Who's that one?"
"The pretty blonde one," I said pointing at Jhon who was talking with the other boys.
"Erm, I rather go see a REAL doctor."
I tried doggie eye'n her. "But he needs the practice!'
"I guess he is kinda cute...Alright, I'll let him do me. But, I have ta lean on ya when we go to wherever you're stayin' at."
" 'Ey, Jhon," I shouted and waved, "I got a paitent for ya!"

I don't think Jhon liked Destiny. He walked with a frown on his face and his arms crossed. I decided to tease him about the look on his face.

"Jhon, you jelly," I said, "A little nerd like me with a bitch hangin' on me."
"Walleh, be nice," Destiny said.
"Why in the world would I be jealous," Jhon said, rolling his eyes.
"No wait, I forgot..."
"Course you did."
"Forgot what?"
"I'll tell ya later," I said, "No offense, but you're a bit too heavy for me."
"Aw, come on, I bet yer stronger than that! Put ya back into it!"
"No! I'll always be a weak lil' nerd!"
We both laughed like it was some kind of joke.
"Oh great, I lost my friend to a whore," Jhon said, facepalming.
"I'm just borrowing him," Destiny said, "I'll return him later when he's no use to me anymore."
"Now that's just cruel!"
We both laughed again.
"Good grief, Destiny, at least act like you're hurt," Jhon said.
"I am. I just tend to get all giggly and rash when I get hurt."

I guess we were in such a rush when we left, the door was wide open. The other boys saw us leave and followed us back to the house.

"So, y'all are stayin' at Syd's house," Destiny asked.
"Yeah, we're related," I said.
"How?"
"Her father was my mother's cousin, but I guess technically she's not related to us anymore since he died."
"Oh, I remember that! The whole town went to his funeral. Did you go?"
"Well, yeah. I guess we there at the same time, eh?"
Jamie came right up next to us and said, "Almost like it was 'Destiny' !"
I groaned and rolled my eyes while Jamie snickered at his own joke.
"Erm, I don't think I'm going to make it up these stairs," Destiny said.
"What, you want someone to carry you up the stairs," I asked.
"What? No-"
"Hey, Jack, buddy, help Destiny up the stairs, will ya?"

Jack didn't think much about it. He came over and picked Destiny up. One would think a girl would appreciate it when a big, strong man heroically carries her to safety in her wounded state, but she clung to Jack in fear and stared at me with eyes that said, "Why would you do this to me?" Jhon followed Jack up the stairs while the rest of us gathered around the couch. We all sat in silence, reflecting what was going on until Seviper stood up.

"Well, looks like he's got us beat," he said.
"This is depressing," Si said.
"What do we do now," Tom said.
"Drink our sorrows away," Seviper said, getting up.
"Eh," David said lifting his hand.
"You want one, too?"
"It's too early to be drinking," Tom said, getting up to stop him.
"Do you think it's too late to go to bed," I said.
"Well, the sun's up, but I think there's a bit more time to sleep," Jamie said.
"In that case, I'm going to bed. I've been up all night. Later."

I yawned as I walked up the stairs. I thought I heard a moan coming from the bathroom. James was curled up in a ball near the toilet with a towel wrapped around his body like a blanket. Jack was kneeled down next to him, with his hand on his shoulder. I turned my attention back to my room.

"I wouldn't open that if I were you," he said.
"Why not," I said, opening the door anyway.

Destiny had her shirt off with Jhon strategically placed where I couldn't see anything cool. Jhon turned around, just enough to see me.

"CG, what the hell is wrong with you," Jhon barked and slammed the door in my face.
"But, sleepy," I said.
"Go sleep in Uncle Walter's room if he ain't back yet."
"No. It smells like Uncle Walter in there."
"It can't be that bad in there," Jack said.
"Are ya kiddin? Whatever room Uncle sleeps in makes Seviper's room smell like roses."
"Tough luck, then."

Right after that, James got up only enough to put his head over the toilet and made disgusting sounds. I went into Syd's room instead. She had a thing with pink and flowers. Her curtains, bed, desk, lamp, drawer, bedstand and chair were all pink with darker pink flowers. I kicked off my shoes, took off my glasses and crawled in bed next to her, waking her up.

"I'm sleep next to ya for a bit," I said.
"Mmmm-kay?"

We tried to get comfortable with our backs to eachother. Her bed was only made for one person, and it was a little small for a tall guy like me. I couldn't curl up like I wanted, not to mention sleeping next to a girl who's somehow related to me. And yet, I still managed to fall asleep. I woke up when someone was screaming my name. I tried to roll over and ignore it, but ran into Syd instead.

"Eek," She screeched and shoved me off of the bed.
"What are you doing in here," she then hissed once she realized who I was.
I was about to tell her the situation when I heard James bellow, "The Computer Guy, get over here! Now!"

I got up, grabbed my glasses and slowly made my way to the bathroom. James doesn't normally get angry, so it's terrifying when he is. I poked my head into the bathroom, fearing the worst. James was now sitting up against the bathtub, still curled up, and still had the towel around him. He looked pretty pale and exhausted.

"You put a civilian in danger," he asked.
"What are you talking about? She put herself in that situation."

I should know better than to be the type of guy who argues with people who are older, very angry, and are scolding me. I should just let him scold me and take whatever punishment he gives me. But I don't.

"You PUT a CIVILIAN in DANGER," he asked again, only more slowly and angerier.
"She's fine now, ain't she? Then there's no problem, right?"

He got up and shoved his dying face in mine.
"Now, listen here. Our job is protect pokemon and people. Telling people it's a good idea to get into harms way is NOT protecting them, do you understand me?"
I put my hand up in a salute and said, "Whatever you say, vomit breath."

That was the wrong choice of words to say. I only realized that after he growled in rage. I took a step back and slammed the bathroom door shut. I heard him hit the door after I shut it in his face. He cussed loudly as I raced down the stairs. Uncle Walter was back, sitting in his space, staring blankly at a computer screen, hitting a single button with his fat finger. I ran up to his space and hid between the staircase and part of the ledge.

Uncle Walter swirled his chair around and said in a playful tone, "Wally, what are you doing?"
"James is gonna kill me! Be a good uncle and don't tell him I'm here."
"He's not going to kill you," Si said from somewhere in the living room, "He's too busy being sick."
"Tsk, tsk," Uncle said, "getting into trouble yet again. You never learn."
"What about you," I said, "where the hell where you last night?"

I caught him. I could tell by the surprised look on his face.

"Erm," he said, looking away from me and scratching his cheek, "I was, uh, y'know, curiosity got the better of me last night when the Abomasnow were destroying stuff."
"Before or after someone was shootin' them in the middle of the night?"
"After."
I folded my arms and grinned. "Uh-huh."

I stood up to make sure the coast was clear of an angry sick pretty British guy. Instead, there was an angry blonde chick who just woke up with her arms crossed standing ontop the other staircase.

"Wally, I know of your weird thing," Syd said, "But that was not cool."
"Destiny was in my room," I explained, "And I ain't sleepin' with a whore! By the way, how is she, Jhon?"
"She'll be fine," Jhon said, turning around to look up at me, "She just has a large, and rather painful, bruise."
"Where the hell was I supposed to sleep? With your mom?"
"You could of slept with me," Walter said.
I turned to him and said, "Ew. That's just plain disgusting. Even more so than sleeping with Syd since you're more related to me."

Uncle Walter shrugged and went back to his computer. Oh, right. Now I remember why I was up all night.

"Syd, Syd, come here," I said, flapping my hand to motion for her to come to me.
"What," she said, going down the stairs.
"I was workin' all night to get an internet connection, and guess what?"
"What?"
"I did it! It took me all night and I didn't get much sleep, but I did it!"

Uncle Walter looked at me with a grim look on his face. Things are going as planned.

"That's amazing," Syd said, clasping her hands together.
"Yup, all by myself," I said, "With nobody's help. Just me."

Uncle Walter certainly seemed suspicious of my motives. But neither the less, he wasn't going to blow his cover in front of people. So instead of sounding angry, he said in a friendly voice, "That's great Wally! Looks like I actually taught you something!"
I couldn't blow my cover either, so I said in a snarky voice, "You can't even teach a pichu to shoot electricity. I figured this stuff out myself."
Syd threw her arms around me and said, "Wow, you're really smart!"
"Don't mention about it! Since you're family and all, I won't even charge you for my services."

Now Walter was starting to get pissed.  He frowned and folded his arms.

"Ya know, Uncle Walter it makes me a little sad," I said and paused before continuing to give him a chance to speak. He didn't. He just curled his lip at me.
"Yer always sayin' lil Wally ain't all that bright. But it only took me one night to figure it out. You do this sort of thing for a living, and you've been here, what a week? What does that say about ya, Uncle?"
"ERGH, I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE," a cry came from the living room.

It was Tommy. He was standing up with a determined look on his face.
"Why are we sitting around doing, nothing," he said to the rest of the team, "We have to do something to help the Abomasnow!"
"And what do you suggest we do," Jack asked in his usual lax nature.
"Umm...I wanna go feed some Abomasnow berries. It would of worked the first time if I didn't intrude on it's property...right?"
"I suppose," Tom said, "But you're going to need to take someone with you for protection."
"Hmph! I can do it by myself! I'm stronger than I look!"
"I'll do it," Uncle Walter said, "This is certainly a curious case. And, I'd love to see a young man like you pull something like this. It'd give me hope for this generation."

It's hard to tell if Tommy's all that bright or really dumb. He knows Uncle Walter is a suspect, so it would be a wise idea to not let him anywhere near Abomasnow, but then again, Walter put him quite a dilemma. He was going to have to choose his next words carefully.

"That's a great idea," Tommy said like the thought of a murderer didn't phase him, "We should get going, like, right now!"

I saw Tommy tug on Jamie's sleeve as he passed by him. He certainly is a quick study on getting people's attention without normal people noticing. Guess he had a plan of some sort. Careful, Tommy, your genius is showing.

Tommy went upstairs and knocked on the bathroom door so he could kick James out and get dressed. James came out with his hands on his stomach. He just stood there in the hallway while Tommy was doing his thing. When Walter went into his room to get something, Jamie took his chance and walked into the bathroom, ignoring Tommy's privacy as usual. I shook my head. He'll do that with everyone. It doesn't matter how old or young you are, even if he knows you or not, he will strut into your room when he has something to say.

"Now that he's gone, Wally, show me things," Syd said to me.
"Okay."

A couple of minutes later, while we were watching a four day old puppy howl, Jamie snuck up on us.

"Aw, whatta cute puppy," he said making me jump, "Tommy wants me to follow behind them while they're looking for Abomasnow in case Uncle Walter does something bad."
"That's nice," I said, "Why are you telling me?"
"We need to communicate with base in case things go sour and we need more people."
"Fine. Just don't talk to me the entire time you're on your trip."
"Can I talk to you a little bit?"
"No. Once you start you'll never stop."

He slumped and went back downstairs like I hurt him or something. Tommy pestered Uncle Walter to get his ass in gear so they could leave already. I gave them berries to feed the Abomasnow and wished them a good time. A couple of minutes later, Jamie left with his glasses com. I put on my own glasses com and went back to showing Syd the world wide web.

I ended up setting up accounts for her so she can communicate with the rest of her family. I was even suckered into finding people so she could friend them. Just when I was about to pass out from boredom, we heard a gunshot. My first thought was, here we go again, but Jamie reported in.

"Looks like your hunch was right on the mark, CG," Jamie said, "It is your uncle shooting the Abomasnow.

For some reason, that made my stomach knot up. I don't understand why. Shouldn't I be glad I get to prove once and for all that my uncle is a monster and deserves to be taken down?

"What happened," I asked.
"Tommy had to use the bathroom, and Uncle Walter went off to find a shotgun. I swear, Seviper would want to have sex with this thing."
"Jamie, focus."
"Anyway, he found an Abomasnow and he shot it, but it's more like he grazed it. I sent my Swasbuck after him and he did a good job at making him go away, yes he did. I have the Abomasnow with me now and I'm looking for Tommy so he can give him some oran berries."
"Do you need Jhon up there so he can patch up the Abomasnow?"
"Calm your tits, CG. You don't think I'd be dumb enough to come here empty handed, did ya?"
"Umm..."
"I bought along a super potion and some bandages. I'm sure I'll be able to fix him with these. If only he would hold still..."
"Good job, Jamie. Go find Tommy and come back here when you're done there."
"What happened," Syd asked.
"Yeah, what happened," Tom said from downstairs.
"An Abomasnow was shot, but he'll be alright," I said.

Everyone let a huge sigh in relief. A couple of minutes later, Uncle Walter came back.

"Whew, things are pretty intense out there," he said.

No one said a word. We all just stared at him with disapproving looks.

"Huh, what's with you guys," he said, sensing our displeasure.

When he didn't get an answer, he waddled up the stairs to get back on the computer. Syd and I promptly got off and went downstairs to where the rest of the boys were. A half an hour later, Jamie and Tommy came back. Tommy looked like he had been crying. He went up to Tom and gave him a hug.

"I messed up," Tommy said.
"Hell ya, you did," I said.
Tom glared at me, then said to his brother, "You didn't do anything wrong."
"I let him out of my sight," Tommy said, wiping his eyes.
"Now ya know better," I said, "Don't do it again."
Tommy nodded.
"At least an Abomasnow didn't die this time, right," Seviper said, "That's enough to be happy about."
"Bullshit," I said, "That Abomasnow is probably either scared shitless, or really pissed off."
"You're not helping, CG," Si suddenly shouted, "You know what, go away, before you make things worse."
"Fine," I said, getting up and going to my room.
Finally, after a month, a new chapter.

I had to re-write this chapter 3 times. I only would of been able to do it twice if the computer hadn't erased the entire story. Luckly, I had the story online so I could just copy-paste it onto a document.

And now I'm finally around the middle of it. God, this is taking forever! At least it's not going to be as long as The Black Bullets.

As usual, leave Constructive Criticism, and use examples from the story

Grammar check (first paragraph only):
"Oi, Wally," Destiny called.
Destiny was walking toward us with an arm wrapped around her like she was wounded.
"Are ya alright," I asked, walking down to her.
Exclamation marks and question marks would be well in order.

Moving on: ""If I don't die." you write. I ask, 'If I don't die' what happens? If she dies would the "thing" not work out or something?
"....I'll let my buddy, Jhon take care of ya." Watch your use of commas, this reads awkward.

"Erm, I rather go see a REAL doctor." I'd
Bloody heck. Aren't those accents annoying?

I see a few more question marks replaced by commas (don't tell me you're trying to avoid auto-capitalisation :P), and there are a few other errors in grammar along the way.

Been reading a while now. No clue it was a pokemans thing.

Okay, I stopped reading at the point where they finally decide to do something about the Abomasnow.
So far, the story's meandered, people have done things, spoken to each other, slept with each other, etc., and honestly, that could've been done in a much shorter format. I fail to see the main story arc in this chapter, if there is one. Certain amounts of drift is fine in a story, but in this, the entire chapter is just a sequence of events that don't all tie into the central Uncle storyline (yes, I did finish it). If you're dedicating a chapter this short to something, make sure it progresses the plot in some way, otherwise it's needless; and the Uncle thing just wasn't enough to justify my reading this. Also: it lacks 'finesse', if you get my drift.

Apart from that, I'm not fond of large sequences of dialogue in the way you've done it here. At the end of it all, it was a long read, in which I didn't find much to care for. When doing something this long-form, use every word to progress the plot or to set up the scenario. Of course I'm not familiar with most of the characters, but there are a lot of them, which makes it harder for me (as someone who has no clue who these people are) to care about who's saying what and why.

I see room for improvement, but pay attention to what you're doing. One important thing to remember is not to depend so heavily on dialogue. Of course, fans' views might be a bit skewed, but to me as an outsider, this is sub-par stuff. It doesn't make me want to look at your other stuff. When you're writing, don't go end to end and call it a day (although I see you've done it thrice over, can I ask why?). Take your time and don't worry about finishing. You've got a-ways to go, and I wish you good luck (hope I haven't been too harsh).

Verdict: 3.5/10
Now you owe me a crit, do your worst! :happybounce:
